30 May – Aaron Kwok recently surprised many with his new bearded look, which he revealed to be a part of his character in his new movie, "June". As reported on Mingpao, the actor who appeared at an event in Quarry Bay recently, shared that he has recently been busy preparing himself for his new role in the movie - as a father of a teenage daughter and a pastry chef working in New York's Chinatown. "In order to make it more believable, I decided to learn from a real pastry chef. All the baked goods that I made were delicious," he enthused. Although this is not the first time that he is playing the role of a father, Aaron said that the upcoming project is something new and challenging for him. "This is a story revolving around the relationship of a father and his teenage daughter," he said. Aaron also admitted that he had always wanted to shoot a movie in Chinatown after watching Chow Yun Fat's 1987 movie, "An Autumn's Tale". "I always wanted to do a romance drama there, but when I finally got to do it, it was a family drama instead. But it's all good. It's a different kind of love," he added.
