Taiwan's special Red Bean Cake, Bean Paste Cake and Birthday Peach Bun were presented to Kim Hyang-gi as part of her birthday surprise.

11 Aug – At 18 years old, Kim Hyang-gi is the youngest member of the main cast of "Along with the Gods 2: The Last 49 Days".

Technically, she only turned 18 on 9 August but during her recent visit to Taipei, the petite actress was surprised with an early birthday celebration.

At the press conference for the movie, held last Monday at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei, the crowd, consisting of media from Taiwan, South Korea, Malaysia and other Asia Pacific regions, suddenly started singing the birthday song.

Since only the actress' birthday falls in August, it immediately dawned on the cast members and the director that it was a surprise celebration for the teen star. The rest of the cast then sang along too while Kim Hyang-gi smiled brightly at everyone.

When asked to make a birthday wish, the actress asked for 'big success' for her new movie, "Along with the Gods 2".

The cast and director of "Along with the Gods 2" were presented with a commemorative gift.

The "Along with the Gods 2" stars said they were touched by the "Along with the Gods: The Two Worlds" sand animation that was presented live during the event.

Kim Hyang-gi will be seen reprising her role as the cheerful Deok-choon in "Along with the Gods 2", which will also see Ha Jung-woo returning as Kang-lim, Ju-jihoon as Hewonmak, and Kim Dong-wook as Su-hong.

Don Lee, also known as Ma Dong-seok ("Champion", "Train to Busan"), who briefly appeared at the end of the first "Along with the Gods" movie, joins them as Household God, Sung-ju.

Director Kim Yong-hwa helmed both the "Along with the Gods" movies, which were shot simultaneously, with the first part released earlier this year in Malaysia and the second releasing this month.
