29 Mar – Nicolas Cage has set a new personal record. Did you know that the shortest marriage the actor ever had was 2 years? Well, he's topped that with a record of 4 days. Following his surprise marriage to make-up artist Erika Koike last weekend in Las Vegas, Cage has now filed for an annulment in Clark County, Nevada. The Blast reports that if the actor fails to get an annulment, he will seek for divorce instead. No reason has been revealed for the sudden separation, which comes just as much as a surprise as when Cage was reported to have applied for a marriage license in Las Vegas on 23 March (or 24 March over on our side of the world). The couple, who has been dating since last April, tied the knot on the same day as evidenced by the marriage certificate that was issued. Since Cage's fourth marriage lasted only four days, this makes it his shortest marriage so far. He has previously been married to actress Patricia Arquette from 1995 to 2001, singer-songwriter Lisa Marie Presley from 2002 to 2004, and actress Alice Kim from 2004 to 2016, marking his longest marriage despite the 20-year age gap between him and Kim. Cage has two children, Weston (28), from his previous relationship with actress Christina Fulton, and Kal-El (14), from his marriage to Kim. Well, things may not be looking so bright for Cage relationship-wise but at least he's still got his acting career going. Expect to see or hear the actor in about 10 movies within this year and the next. (Photo source: Byrdman | BACKGRID)
