25 Aug – While most local film production companies avoid releasing their movies at the moment out of worry that the movies will not do well, Kuman Pictures takes the opposite approach as it continues churning out movies.

Recently, it announced that it will be producing three new films, all of which have gone through several drafts of scripts.

The three movies are "Ceroboh", "Die Die Top Student" and "Kerek".

"Ceroboh", to be directed by Feisal Azizuddin and penned by Chong Keng Fatt, is a thriller film that features aliens, paranoia and mind invasion.

"Die Die Top Student", to be directed by We Jun and written by Lim Boon Siang, is a horror comedy film that revolves around teenagers and ghosts.

The Alif Yazid-helmed "Kerek", penned by Qayyum Yazid and Alif Yazid himself, is a thriller film about a boarding school, accidental killing and the consequences, as posted by Kuman Pictures on its official Facebook.

It added that the movies' filming will kick off with "Ceroboh", which is scheduled to begin production this December.

Apart from the three new films, Kuman Pictures also currently have "Roh" screening in nationwide cinemas.

At the moment, it is also waiting for confirmation on the release dates of "IRUL Ghost Hotel" and "Rahsia", the Kuman Pictures and Astro Shaw co-productions that are slated to open in cinemas in 2021.
