23 Mar – Although the series itself has yet to premiere, it was reported that Disney+ is set to develop a spin-off series centering on a character that will be featured in "Hawkeye". Sources revealed that the streaming platform will be creating a whole new show about the deaf Native America superhero Echo - real name Maya Lopez - whose power is the ability to copy another person's movements or fighting style. Echo is known to be in the circles of Daredevil, Moon Knight and the Avengers. The "Hawkeye" character is currently portrayed by Native American actress Alaqua Cox.
It was also reported that Etan and Emily Cohen have been set to write the said series that will be produced by Marvel Studios. "Hawkeye", which is set in the post-"Avengers: Endgame" era, will see Jeremy Renner reprising his role as the archer, while Hailee Steinfeld will be playing his protege Kate Bishop. Other co-stars include Vera Farmiga, Tony Dalton, Fra Free, and Florence Pugh - the latter to reprise her role Yelena Belova from "Black Widow". "Hawkeye" will debut in late 2021. Representatives for Marvel Studios and the Cohens have yet to respond to the report.
