12 Aug – Jason Momoa recently admitted that he is not a fan of his 2011 movie, "Conan the Barbarian", despite it being the first movie ever to feature him in the lead role. In an interview with GQ, the actor slammed the 2011 remake of the Arnold Schwarzenegger 1982 film, saying, "I've been a part of a lot of things that really sucked, and movies where it's out of your hands. Conan was one of them." "It's one of the best experiences I had, and it [was] taken over and turned into a big pile of [expletive]," he added.
It is noted that Momoa was cast in the movie in 2010, having made a name for himself starring in "Baywatch: Hawaii" as Jason Ioane. It was originally slated to be helmed by Brett Ratner before the project was given to German filmmaker Marcus Nispel. It made only USD 48 million worldwide despite its USD 80 million budget and its star-studded cast that include Rachel Nichols, Rose McGowan, Stephen Lang and Ron Perlman. Nonetheless, Momoa was lucky enough that in the same year, he was cast in the HBO series, "Game of Thrones" as the Dothraki lord Khal Drogo, which catapulted him further into the movie sphere.
