13 May – A sequel to Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick's movie, "A Simple Favor" is currently in the works. As reported on Deadline, the crime-thriller project is produced by Lionsgate and Amazon Studios, although no news as to whether it will be released on the big screen or a part of Prime Video. Aside from the two actresses, director Paul Feig will also be returning to direct the sequel from a screenplay by Jessica Sharzer.
The first movie, released in 2018, stars Anna Kendrick as a "mommy vlogger" who finds herself entangled in a mystery after an upper-class woman whom he befriended suddenly goes missing. The movie also co-stars Henry Golding. Aside from this particular project, Lively is set to make her directorial debut through "Seconds", while Kendrick will be seen next in "Alice, Darling". On the other hand, Feig's most recent project was Netflix's "The School for Good and Evil".
