4 Aug – As Jho Low continues to be on the run from the authorities, a new documentary has now been made about the Malaysian businessman. The documentary, "Man On the Run" revolves around Low and the 1MDB scandal, with the film featuring exclusive interviews with FBI agents Charles W. O'Neal and David Smith, who were instrumental in building the case against 1MDB.
In addition, the trailer also showed several big names being previously interviewed, including Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim, then the opposition leader; as well as the former Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak. It will also reveal how Low, real name Low Taek Jho, used the money from the sovereign Malaysian investment fund to insert himself among Hollywood celebrities, including Leonardo DiCaprio and Jamie Foxx. "Man on the Run" is set for release in New York on 22 September. No news as to whether it will be released outside of the US.
