19 Mar - It seems that Conan O'Brien has got the taste of the Academy Awards and he is addicted, as the former late night show host has said yes to hosting the prestigious awards again next year.

The TV personality and writer received a lot of praises for his recent stint at the 97th Oscars telecast earlier this month, prompting the Academy to make an offer for the 98th edition next year.

Returning with him are executive producers Raj Kapoor and Katy Mullan and producers Jeff Ross and Mike Sweeney.

"We are thrilled to bring back Conan, Raj, Katy, Jeff and Mike for the 98th Oscars," Academy CEO Bill Kramer and outcoming president Janet Yang said in a statement. "This year, they produced a hugely entertaining and visually stunning show that celebrated our nominees and the global film community in the most beautiful and impactful way. Conan was the perfect host - skillfully guiding us through the evening with humour, warmth and reverence. It is an honour to be working with them again."

Meanwhile, O'Brien quipped, "The only reason I'm hosting the Oscars next year is that I want to hear Adrien Brody finish his speech."

The awards ceremony did well in the ratings this year, generating 104.2 million total social interactions, ranking as the No. 1 most-socialed TV programme season-to-date. The 98th Oscars will be held on 15 March 2026.
