Watch this if you liked: “Glee” TV series and “This Is It”

It seems like people are making 3D movies these days for the sake of making 3D movies and one wonders about the necessity of a concert movie for "Glee" in 3D. There's no story, no character development, nothing for your average moviegoer unless you're a "Glee" fan (or 'Gleek' as we like to be called). So the first word of warning is; if you have no idea what "Glee" is about, then this movie might not be for you.

On the other hand if you, like me, are a 'Gleek' then you know very well this movie is something you do not want to miss out on. A full house concert shot from the "Glee" cast's live concerts during their "Glee Live! In Concert!" tour, the 3D concert movie is aimed at providing fans who did not have the chance to attend the concerts to be able to enjoy the same experience.

With a play list of favourite songs from the TV series (this reviewer's personal favourites being "Don't Stop Believing", "Jessie's Girl", "Raise Your Glass" and "Loser Like Me") the 3D concert is also inter-cut with interviews of real life Gleeks who talk about how the TV show changed their lives. It's amusing, sometimes cliche, sometimes sappy, but altogether bright and honest.

A sincere look at the idea of how being different should be celebrated and not feared; something "Glee" has always tried to push, non-"Glee"-fans can still enjoy the good music even if they might not share the same affection for the characters that the 'Gleeks' have. The one complain this reviewer has is the fact that she's watching a concert in the cinema and can't jump up to her feet and sing along.
