Jem And The Holograms

Based on the iconic Hasbro animated TV series, the story follows a small town girl, who goes from being an underground video sensation to a global superstar when she and her three sisters form a rock band called Jem and the Holograms. The four musicians begin a one-in-a-million journey of discovering talents and taking the world by storm with their voice.

The Good, the Bad and the Other Jem :

• The film has a good intention and a great message but fails to deliver them properly due to the nonsensical plot.

• Fans of the animation might not find this film very appealing as it is completely different from the original animation.

• The film is like the movie version of "Hannah Montana", but instead of one girl hiding her identity as a pop star, we have a group of sisters hiding their identity as a popular girl band.

• Aubrey Peeples is a great actress and is wonderful in this movie, but unfortunately her performance is wasted, no thanks to the plot.

Trivia:

• Jem's original voice actors, Samantha Newark and Britta Phillips (singing voice), make cameo appearances in the film, as a stage manager and hairstylist respectively.
