Honey Cigar (MyFFF)

Paris, 1993. Selma, 17, grows up in a bourgeois and secular Berber family. After meeting Julien, a dashing classmate of hers she quickly grows smitten with, she realises for the first time how restrictive the rules of her patriarchal family are and how they prevent her from blossoming into the woman she truly is. As radical Islamism rages in her homeland of Algeria and her family collapses, Selma discovers the power of her own desire. She`s a fighter, and she won`t simply concede to marrying the man her parents have carefully selected for her. Drawing strength from those closest to her, she begins her quest to become a free woman and walk her own path in life.
