After her husband`s affair, Ilmira returns to her family cottage as a successful but financially struggling horror author. While working on a critical graphic novel with reluctant help from Elsa, a mysterious teenager, Ilmira is haunted by characters from her previous stories-including the Woman in Veil who represents her traumatic childhood. As she confronts these manifestations, Ilmira works toward acceptance through what may be her final horror creation.

Selepas suaminya berlaku curang, Ilmira kembali ke rumah keluarganya sebagai seorang penulis karya seram yang berjaya tetapi berdepan masalah kewangan. Ketika menghasilkan sebuah novel grafik dengan bantuan seorang remaja misteri bernama Elsa, Ilmira mula dihantui bayangan watak-watak fiksyennya sendiri, termasuk 'Wanita Berkerudung' yang berkait dengan trauma zaman kanak-kanaknya. Namun Ilmira menerima apa yang berlaku kepada dirinya dalam cubaan menghasilkan karya seram terakhirnya.
