8 Sep - A slow weekend at the cinemas saw Jack Neo's Hokkien caper "Money No Enough 2" take top spot at the box office charts. The Singaporean sequel edged musclemen movies "Babylon A.D." and "Death Race" in a weekend full of smaller releases, giving Neo's film the lion's share of local collections. The highest-grossing new release is the Ewan McGregor and Hugh Jackman thriller "Deception", which came in at No.8 behind "Dhaam Dhoom", "The Luckiest Man", "Zohan" and "Wall-E". Mike Myer's "Love Guru" follows "Ghost House" into a sharp decline, as the lack of major pictures forces a free-for-all between the new releases. Debuting local Pyramid Saimira movie "Saroja" makes the chart only just. However, there is no place on the top ten for new movies on limited release like regional horrors "Body" and "Angkerbatu", not to mention Cinta Laura Kiehl's Indonesian feature debut "Oh Baby" and Jason Scott Lee's Korean-English drama "Dance Of The Dragon". These obscure films fill showtime slots as the so dubbed 'low-season' in cinemas continues.
