28 Jan – If everything goes well, Ryan Reynolds will soon have his own street being named after him in his home country Canada. The news was revealed by Ottawa Mayor, Jim Watson, who shared on Twitter on 27 January that he will be bringing forward a motion to have a street named after the Vancouver-born Reynolds. "Ryan Reynolds Way will be located in a new subdivision in the east end. Look forward to seeing it open soon," he added.
And in a typical Ryan Reynolds' fashion, the "Free Guy" star responded, "This is an incredible honour and a deal is a deal, Mr Mayor. I've changed my daughter's name to Ottawa." It is noted that Reynolds and his wife Blake Lively have continued to do charity works in Canada, including teaming up with the Ottawa Public Health to encourage vaccinations, and raising money for Toronto's Hospital for Sick Children. He was also recently awarded the 2021 General's Performing Arts Award in Canada.
