21 Apr – After much speculations about his upcoming project, Shah Rukh Khan recently announced that he is teaming up with "3 Idiots" director Rajkumar Hirani for his latest project. The Bollywood King shared the good news on social media with a video, in which he is seen looking at Rajkumar's previous works before the director himself appeared next to him. Shah Rukh then asked if the award-winning filmmaker has a movie that he could star in, being a fan of his works, to which Rajkumar proposed to him the title of "Dunki" that Shah Rukh hilariously thought was "Donkey".
The director also advised Shah Rukh to avoid his signature open arms in his romantic scenes, to which the actor responded, "I'll chop off my hands if you wish." "You are like my Santa Claus. You start and I will reach on time. Actually, I will start living on the sets. Feeling humbled and excited to finally work with you," Shah Rukh wrote in the caption. The upcoming film, which also co-stars Taapsee Pannu, is due for release on 22 December 2023. Meanwhile, the actor is soon to return with "Pathaan", an action thriller that stars Deepika Padukone and John Abraham. Watch the adorable exchange between Shah Rukh and the director here:
