Cinema Online pays a visit to the luxurious GSC boutique cinema VELVET


26 April - Cinema Online was given the opportunity to experience the VELVET, Golden Screen Cinemas (GSC)'s new boutique cinema that is nestled in the heart of Mont Kiara at Retail Park 163.

As we stepped into a world of swankiness and cinematic delights, we are charmed by the eclectic combination of retro and modern designs as VELVET draws inspiration from retro cinemas in the 60s with a tasteful play of colours and plushie soft finishings at the bar and dining section where movie goers can have a meal from the western-influenced menu.

Equipped with 3 halls (a total of 163 seats), Velvet is a lifestyle journey indeed complete with dining, elegance, luxury and cinematic experience.

After a quick meal, we were ushered up the carpeted stairs towards the screening hall to indulge in a movie. It scores points for being intimate and cosy, with our very own pillow and a USB port, of course, to charge our devices (*do bring your own cable). The seating was comfortable with the twin seats and single sofa units.

Comfort is paramount at the VELVET, and every detail is designed with the utmost consideration for the patron's relaxation and enjoyment. The plush, ergonomic seating provides ample legroom and lumbar support, allowing guests to sink into comfort as they lose themselves in the magic of the silver screen. Additionally, the attentive staff are always on hand to cater to any needs, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience from start to finish.

To add, the washroom was pleasant as well as we actually took a while to experience the design work and the art pieces within and around the venue space.
