22 Jul - Brad Pitt's daughter Shiloh has gone on with her plan of detaching herself from the actor by announcing that she is dropping her surname Pitt in an ad published by The LA Times.

The decision to publish the ad was in accordance to California law, which stated that one must have the legal forms published in a newspaper for one month before a judge can approve the petition.

Shiloh, who previously went as Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, filed the petition back in May as soon as she turned 18.

A source close to Pitt stated that the actor was aware and upset by his daughter's decision.

On the other hand, it was revealed that Shiloh's decision was an individual one and that she hired her own lawyer to do so. Thus, her mother Angelina Jolie couldn't make any comment about it.

It is noted in an Instagram post written by son Pax in 2016, he claimed that all four of the youngest children including Shiloh would "tremble in fear in [Pitt's] presence" and that all six children are closer to Jolie than Pitt.

Prior to Shiloh, the other older children including Zahara and Vivienne, have already dropped Pitt's name.
