14 Jan - Mandy Moore found herself getting criticised enough to a point that she had to delete a post where she shared a GoFundMe page for her in-laws who lost their house in the LA wildfires.

The actress recently revealed that her brother-in-law and sister-in-law Griff and Kit lost their home and everything they own in the fire, and needed much support as they were also expecting a new baby.

"Griff is a touring musician and also lost his entire arsenal of drums/percussion he uses to make a living. It's all so much. So many have asked how to help during this unimaginable and stressful time ... Please consider donating and sharing to help them rebuild," she posted.

However, Moore's decision to repost the GoFundMe had since sparked criticisms from the public, who said that the actress is wealthy enough to help her own family and has wealthy friends to do the same. Some even shared a Celebrity Net Worth statistic claiming Moore's net worth is USD 14 million, meaning that she is able to help her family on her own while also rebuilding her own home that was damaged by the fire.

In response to the criticism, she posted, "People questioning whether we're helping out our own family or attributing some arbitrary amount of money Google says someone has is NOT helpful or empathetic. Of course we are. Our buddy Matt started this GoFundMe and I'm sharing because people have asked how they can help them. We just lost most of our life in a fire too. Kindly F OFF. No one is forcing you to do anything."

Her response had since received mixed reactions, with many saying that there are many other people who have now lost everything and need more help than families that have wealthy connections.

One netizen posted, "She could take her family in till things are settled to ask for money is ludicrous when you have so much. There are people in real need without any help or anything give to them. The wealthy should care for their own."
