14 Jan - Palisades Charter High School, most known as the location for a number of teen movies and TV shows, has been significantly damaged by the wildfires that started at the Pacific Palisades.

In a statement released by the school via Facebook, it was revealed that over 40 percent of the school has been either damaged or destroyed, though some areas like classrooms, gyms, the baseball field, and their pool are not visibly damaged.

"Due to the scale of the disaster, we must now come together as a community, embrace one another and unite in a collective effort to recover and rebuild. We must support each other through this tremendous challenge to ensure that our young people, families, and community members can overcome adversity..." the post added.

The famed school has been used as filming sets for movies and dramas that include 1976's Stephen King adaptation "Carrie", as well as the Lindsay Lohan-starrer, "Freaky Friday".

It was also the set for the 2010s series "Teen Wolf", and Olivia Rodrigo's "good 4 u" music video.

The school also boasted a number of famous alumni including J.J. Abrams, Forest Whitaker, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Will.i.am, Katey Sagal, and Adam Shankman
