Single father Joseph has secretly quit his job as a doctor to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. While he is close to his sons, he doesn`t notice that each of them is facing his own problems. The eldest, Joachim, is busy mooning over his ex instead of pursuing a Masters in psychiatry, while the younger Ivan is undergoing a mystical transformation and is finding it hard to fit in at school. However, they continue looking out for each other and even try to solve one another`s problems. Joachim begs a publisher to accept his father`s manuscript and Ivan, thinking his brother needs to find love, sets his brother up with his Latin tutor.

Walaupun pada mata kasar Joseph dan dua anak lelakinya, Joachim dan Ivan, dilihat sebagai keluarga bahagia, mereka sebenarnya masing-masing mempunyai masalah tersendiri. Joseph dalam diam telah meletak jawatan sebagai doktor untuk menjadi penulis. Joachim pula sibuk memikirkan bekas kekasihnya walaupun sebenarnya dia perlu menyambung pengajian dalam bidang psikiatri. Sementara itu, adiknya yang berusia 13 tahun, Ivan, berdepan masalah untuk menyesuaikan diri di sekolah. Walaubagaimanapun, mereka masih cuba untuk menyelesaikan masalah sesama sendiri. Ivan cuba menjodohkan guru bahasa Latinnya dengan Joachim, sementara Joachim pula merayu kepada penerbit supaya tidak menolak manuskrip bapanya.
