14 Nov – Action star Jackie Chan finally gets his Oscar, which used to only be a dream for the martial arts actor. As reported on ECNS News, the actor, who became the first Chinese star to win an Honorary Oscar at the Governors Awards on 12 November 2016 for his decades of work, admitted that he once saw an Oscar trophy at Sylvester Stallone's house and knew he wanted one. In his speech, Jackie expressed, "My dad [would] always [ask me], 'Son, you [accepted] so many movie awards in the world, when are you [getting] one of these?' Then I just look at my dad [laugh], 'Dad, I only make comedy-action movies'." He later shared a photo of him with the award online, and wrote, "So [honoured] and happy and lost for words!" The actor, whose career spans more than 50 years, has starred, produced, and directed over 200 movies, including "Drunken Master" (1978), "Police Story" (1985), "Rush Hour" (1998), and "Skiptrace" (2016).
