8 Jul – Director of the Malaysian film, "Redha", Tunku Mona Riza has revealed that representatives from the Philippines and Taiwan have shown interest in screening her film at their respective countries.

Tunku Mona however is not getting her hopes up as this is still in the early stages of discussion.

"Yes, both the countries have shown interest in screening the movie however I don't dare confirm anything as we are still in talks," said Tunku Mona.

Recently, "Redha" had managed to win two awards at the World Premieres Film Festival Philippines 2016.

The awards were for Best Actress via June Lojong and the Special Jury Prize.

On her win, Tunku Mona said that the story she delivered to audiences had a universal theme and the simple storyline was easy to digest.

Apart from June Lojong, "Redha" which also stars Namron, Nadiya Nisaa, Remy Ishak, Harith Haziq, Ruminah Sidek, Susan Lankester and Izzy Reef is about the life of a family who have to face the trials and tribulations of raising an autistic child.

Tunku Mona has said that she had also received a screening invitation from a film festival director from Spain, however details are still being ironed out.
