Here's another actress hopeful of playing the caped superheroin.

8 Jan – Batgirl sure is a popular choice of superhero character to star as among Hollywood actresses as another one has voiced her hopes of playing the role.

Hoping to star in Joss Whedon's upcoming movie adaptation focusing on the caped superheroin, Lindsay Lohan posted on her Twitter account about it and asked fans to retweet her post so that the director will see it.

While there are already more than 4000 retweets at the time of writing, that number might still not be enough to get the actress cast for the movie.

As usual, anything done by the fallen actress will draw ire. Some of the remarks can be mean, though some can be funny, such as the sarcastic comment posted by a movie fan online: "Sure! And Paris Hilton as Poison Ivy," to the numerous memes that express just how much they do not want the actress as Batgirl.

Fans, stay calm, chances of Lohan starring as Batgirl might be slim. Despite starting out as a promising child actress on Disney, her career in recent years hasn't exactly been bright, having only appeared in obscure movies and landing no lead roles in big movies ever since 2004's "Mean Girls".

The 31-year-old will also have a number of fellow actresses to beat first, if she really wants to don that skintight leotard.

Other actresses that have previously expressed their wish to play Batgirl include "Pitch Perfect 3" star Hailee Steinfeld, "Baywatch" star Priyanka Chopra and Alicia Silverstone, who actually played Batgirl in 1997's "Batman & Robin".
