Set in World War II, the film is a love story of two widowed people who fall in love with each other and are forced to escape to Hong Kong and leave their son behind. The film is an adaption of the true story of Jackie`s parents, Charles and Lee-Lee Chan.

The Good, the Bad and the Parents of the Famous Actor:

• The movie starts off strong but begins to deteriorate as the story goes on.

• Even with big names from the Hong Kong and China film industry, the film didn't meet the expectation of many.

• Despite being the movie of Jackie Chan's parents, the plot is very predictable with cliche moments, like every other Romeo and Juliet kind of romance.

• There is no room for character development especially among the supporting cast.
