• The film is a huge sci-fi treat that keeps the audiences at the edge of their seats, thanks to the director's talent for visualising improbable set-pieces.

• The movie is quite unpredictable and does a great job at paying homage to the original series.

• Both Idris Elba and Sofia Boutella make fine additions to the already brilliant cast, Elba is a great villain and Boutella brings her acting to another level with her stunning fighting sequence.

• The film has striking visuals with brilliant CGI, and the music score is amazing too!

Trivia:

• Anton Yelchin who played Chekov in the past two movies passed away almost a month prior to the film's release.
