The Good, the Bad and the New Wimpy Kid:

• The new "Wimpy Kid" movie is the common road trip movie, the one where everything that can go wrong does go wrong.

• The movie feels like it would be much better suited as a direct-to-video release than a theatre release.

• The all-new cast isn't really that bad, but the movie itself is not good enough in terms of its story and pacing.

• The movie seems more suitable for kids between 3 to 10-years-old as it consists of jokes revolving around poop, farts and puking.

• But what actually made these jokes worse was that they were executed poorly.

• The only good thing about the movie was the ending scene which was very cute and will make you smile just for a bit.

Trivia:

• Many fans of the franchise expressed a lot of anger at all the recasting for this film, especially when it came to Rodrick, spawning the popular meme "#notmyrodrick", a parody of the "#notmypresident" trend that became popular after the election of President Donald Trump.
