14 Apr – Prior to its official release in Malaysia, "The Huntsman: Winter's War" was first screened to Cinema Online contest winners. Cinema Online readers who won free passes for it were treated to the fantasy adventure movie a day before everyone else gets to watch it in cinemas. When asked, most of the winners stated that they were looking forward to the movie since it is a follow-up to 2012's "Snow White and The Huntsman". "We watched the first movie, we liked it," said Martin Xavier and Stephania D'cruz (pictured above), adding that they hope they would enjoy the second movie too.
One Lee Cheng Hung admitted it was the star-studded cast that attracted her, and she wasn't alone. In fact, most of the audience members were fans of returning stars Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron. The follow-up sees no return of Snow White (sorry, Kristen Stewart fans) but Hemsworth and Theron are joined by Jessica Chastain and Emily Blunt this time around.
In "The Huntsman: Winter's War", Evil Queen Ravenna betrays her good sister, Freya, causing Freya to retreat to a kingdom far to the north. With her heart now unable to love, she demands that no two in her legion of deadly huntsmen should ever fall in love. When the two queens start a war for domination, Freya's most elite huntsman, Eric, and fellow warrior, Sara, are the only heroes standing between them. "The Huntsman: Winter's War" is now showing in cinemas.
